36m RDS
When a telecommunications project has a tight delivery schedule, the tower solution needs to be designed with more than just height and load capacity in mind. Speed of deployment, efficient transportation, ease of assembly and reliability all become important considerations.
This is where our clients Rapid Deployment System (RDS) towers offer a practical solution.
The Project
Liftmaster Products recently manufactured a 36m RDS Tower for a client requiring a reliable tower solution designed around a demanding project timeline.
The project gave our manufacturing team the opportunity to demonstrate the RDS system from the workshop floor through to its final preparation for delivery.
As with every tower manufactured at Liftmaster, the components were carefully checked throughout the manufacturing process to ensure accuracy, fitment and quality before leaving our facility.
Test Building the Tower
One of the important stages of this project was the test build of the tower base section.
Before a tower leaves our workshop, test assembly allows our team to verify that the manufactured components come together correctly and that the various connection points, sections and components align as intended.
For this 36m RDS Tower, the base section provided an impressive demonstration of the scale and strength of the structure, including the substantial I-beam construction incorporated into the design.
The test build gave our team another opportunity to inspect the structure before it was prepared for delivery to the client.
What Makes an RDS Tower Different?
RDS stands for Rapid Deployment System.
The concept behind the system is straightforward: provide a tower solution that can help clients meet projects where time and deployment efficiency are critical.
Depending on the project requirements, RDS towers can offer several practical advantages:
Designed with rapid deployment in mind
Efficient transportation and handling
Practical assembly requirements
Suitable for projects with demanding timelines
Manufactured to the client's specified requirements
Quality checked and test assembled before dispatch
For telecommunications contractors and infrastructure providers working against tight project deadlines, these considerations can make a significant difference.
Built for the Field
The manufacturing process is only one part of delivering a successful tower.
At Liftmaster Products, we understand that the tower ultimately needs to perform in the field—often in environments where access, logistics and installation timelines can present their own challenges.
This is why our approach focuses on precision manufacturing, quality control and practical engineering from the beginning of each project.
From the first component processed through to the final inspection, our team works to ensure that the tower leaving our facility is ready for its next stage.
The Liftmaster Difference
With more than three decades of experience manufacturing steel towers and structures, Liftmaster Products combines established manufacturing experience with modern production methods to deliver tower solutions for clients across Africa.
Our capabilities include:
Guyed Towers | Self-Supporting Lattice Towers | RDS Towers | Custom Steelwork | Steel Cutting
Whether you're planning a telecommunications rollout, expanding network infrastructure or working on a project with demanding delivery requirements, our team can work with you to determine the most appropriate tower solution.
